The minutes pass so slowly, time drags by and suddenly, its here. The dream vacation is about to begin. Now for the big questions: how and what to pack. This is not a trick question and while it seems insurmountable at first, it is possible to take everything needed for a successful vacation.

Do you need a packing list?

First the bad news. You would be kidding yourself if you think there is a universally usable packing list. It does not exist, and cannot be created! The whole premise of a universal packing list is unworkable. If you try to make it useful for everyone, it becomes useless for anyone, because whats essential for one person going to one place is useless to someone else going elsewhere.

Second, the good news. You can easily make your own personal packing list that accurately addresses your specific needs based on your vacation destination. For any trip of more than a day, its very helpful to make a packing list.

Organization is the number one tip in packing for an exciting vacation. In the first stage, an organized packing list will include every item that is used on a daily basis. For women that includes curling irons, blow dryers, make-up, toiletries, etc. It is best if the woman evaluates her morning routine the day before departure, to insure that each item is accounted for; she should then leave everything grouped in one area.

This staging area allows for her to evaluate and insure that all necessary items are accounted for; this group of items will be the last things packed before departure, as she will use them when getting ready to leave. It is only after she has completely prepared for the trip that all morning and daily essentials are packed. Utilizing this packing tip, she can be sure to prevent last minute panic attacks. Men should prepare their items in a similar fashion.

A Successful Vacation is Planning, Preparation Packing Tips

There are many ideas and suggestions for packing tips in travel brochures, travel books and on the Internet. However, it is very simple to prepare for a vacation as long as the traveler allows time to organize. Initially, it is best to divide each day of the vacation into the various activities for each day; morning, afternoon and evening. In this way, outfits can be matched to coordinate with the time of day and planned activity or excursion. By placing each outfit on the bed with matching jewelry, shoes, bags, etc.

It is easy to insure that all necessary items of clothing and accessories are in order. Once each outfit is completely laid out, count to insure that the number of outfits match the direct number of occasions, activities and events that are planned for the vacation. Once all outfits are prepared and final decisions are made, you will separate the outfits, shoes and accessories and pack in an order to accommodate the most items with the least amount of space. A tip for packing jewelry is to place each item into a travel jewelry case or travel bag. It is safest to keep your jewelry in your carry-on luggage. After the jewelry is safely secured in your carry-on luggage, place your shoes in the outside compartment of your suitcase or in a plastic bag inside your suitcase.

This will eliminate your clothing smelling like your shoes upon your arrival. Another important travel packing tip is to take each clothing item one by one and roll into a shape similar to a jellyroll cake. By rolling your clothing, one item at a time, you eliminate wrinkles and will be able to pack many more items in a small space. The easier you make the preparation, the more prepared you are when you arrive at your destination./pbr
Mashpee Massachusetts is a microcosm of Cape Cod, with opportunities to relax on a spring, summer or early fall vacation. From tennis and golf at New Seabury Resort to biking and beach bumming around the town, Mashpee is an ideal vacation spot for your whole family.

There are a couple beaches conveniently located right in Mashpee, Johns Pond and South Cape Beach. Contact the Mashpee town hall to determine whether you need a beach sticker for access. Occasionally when you rent Mashpee vacation homes, the owners include beach stickers for your use. Some Mashpee vacation rentals also have direct walking access to private beaches. South Cape Beach State Park has more than 3 miles of sandy beaches and there is a maintained trail that winds among salt marshes and ponds.

For those who bring their bicycles or want to rent them on the Cape, Mashpee is an excellent base for biking. Mashpee has its own bicycle trail, the Route 130 Mashpee Bikeway. This trail runs about two and a half miles and brings you by a couple Mashpee attractions, the Wampanoag Museum and the Mashpee River herring run. When you stay in Mashpee, however, you are close to several other popular bike trails, including a six and a half mile trail along Cape Cod Canal, the Shining Sea Bike Path stretching from Falmouth to Woods Hole, and 25-mile Cape Cod Rail Trail that stretches from Dennis to Wellfleet. These bike trails make excellent day or half-day trips.

A summer vacation in Mashpee is a golfers delight. In addition to the Country Club of New Seabury, located in the New Seabury Resort which is right in Mashpee, there are at least six other courses nearby. The Holly Ridge Golf Club in Sandwich is a par-3 public course; Quashnet Valley is also an 18-hole public course, featuring many scenic holes on ponds and cranberry bogs. Falmouth has two public courses, the Falmouth Country Club and Paul Harney, while the semi-private Ballymeade is located in North Falmouth. Lastly there is the Cape Cod Country Club, located in Hatchville, which is one of the oldest public courses on the Cape.

For those who would like to get their exercise by walking, but not on a golf course, there are many scenic conservation areas and maintained trails for exploring Mashpee and the Cape by foot. Johns Pond Park is a freshwater pond set in the midst of a Mashpee conservation area with cranberry bogs. Relax on the beach or wander among the bogs. For more of a day hike, explore the eight miles of trails along the Mashpee River. This conservation area is dotted by cranberry bogs and marshes. It is prime for bird watching and fishing. Other interesting natural areas in Mashpee include the South Mashpee Pine Barrens, the Lowell Holly Reservation, Jehu Pond Conservation Area, Quashnet River Area and the Childs River Conservation Area.

If you are interested in fishing and boating, you may want to consider bringing your boat with you on a vacation in Mashpee. There are several town and state boat landings in Mashpee, including on Popponesset Bay, Waquoit Bay, Ashumet Pond, Johns Pond, Wakeby Pond and Santuit Pond.

Mashpee has a long history of habitation by the Wampanoag Indian Tribe, and the Wampanoag Tribal Council is active in Mashpee today. There are several historic attractions in Mashpee that will give you a glimpse into the towns past. The Indian Meeting House was built in 1684 and is the oldest church building on the Cape. The Wampanoag tribe uses this building today for meetings and worship. It is possible to attend Indian services by appointment during the summer.

Learn more about the Mashpee Wampanoags at the Mashpee Wampanoag Indian Museum. This 19th century building has a reconstruction of a wigwam such as those Wampanoags used to live in. The Wampanoags also host an annual Pow Wow that brings tribes from around the nation to celebrate their heritage. The Pow Wow happens each 4th of July weekend and includes food, crafts, dances and other demonstrations.

Mashpee is a shopping destination on Cape Cod. Among many small, independent shops in the town, you can also shop at Mashpee Commons with restaurants and over 90 vendors, including stores selling everything from clothing to jewelry. And you wont need to go far to enjoy fine or family dining. Mashpee has more than a dozen restaurants featuring fresh seafood, pub grub and country cooking.

When you visit Mashpee, youll want to stay right in the town and youll have plenty of accommodations to choose from. Mashpee has historic inns and bed and breakfasts, as well as several resorts and even a campground. The most common type of accommodations, however, are Mashpee vacation homes and cottages and townhouses for rent at New Seabury. If youd like to have space, comfort and privacy on your vacation, then your best bets are a href=br target=_blank

If money were not an issue for you, what would you most enjoy doing? If you’re like most people, your answer to this question is, travel.

When you think of the perfect vacation do you envision yourself sipping frozen drinks on a tropical beach, looking out over the crystal clear turquoise water as you relax and listen to the calm rhythm of the waves? Or are you more of an adventure seeker, preferring to hike through uncharted territory, challenging yourself and the elements on a hunting trip, white water rafting, or scaling towering mountains?

No matter what interests you, there are countless options available that will meet and even exceed your expectations. So, what’s keeping you from getting out there? If it’s finances, you may be pleasantly surprised to learn that you can take extraordinary vacations at a fraction of the traditional cost. Cheap trips can be enjoyed that include luxury accommodations and activities, with just a few insider secrets.

The key to saving a substantial amount of money on vacations is to combine your passion for travel with your need to make a living. This is not to say that you should quit your job and become a travel professional. Thanks to the Internet, just about anybody can have a part time business in the lucrative travel industry, without spending a lot of money or time on his or her venture.

As most of us are aware, online booking sites have all but replaced brick and mortar travel agencies. At one time, being a travel agent was a full time job that involved working directly with customers to plan, book, and manage their travel.

Today, most of us plan our vacations by going online, comparing costs, and booking through the website that offers the best price for the trip we want. This paradigm shift has created the opportunity for virtually anybody to own an online booking site and become a referring travel agent.

This is a turn key business that can be as simple as locating a solid, reputable company, purchasing an online booking site that will be personalized to make it your own, and paying a small monthly website maintenance fee. Website management, accounting, customer billing, and customer support will be handled through the company that you partner with.

You can use your site to book your own travel, and if you wish, you can tell others about your site and receive commissions when they book their travel through your website. With most companies, there is no obligation to sell travel to others, and no quotas to meet in order to maintain your standing in the company.

If you love to travel but find the cost to be an issue, being an insider can give you the opportunity to book cheap trips as a result of your involvement in the travel industry. I use the term cheap trips not because you would stay at seedy motels or deprive yourself of the activities that make your vacations what they are, but because you would have the chance to purchase top notch vacation packages at a discount, and receive commissions back on your travel.

It gets even better! Along with travel discounts and commissions, referring travel agents benefit greatly from legal tax deductions on all of their travel expenses. So, if you were to take a three thousand dollar cruise and were in a 33 percent tax bracket, that cruise would only cost you about two thousand dollars when you take the tax advantages into consideration. All of your vacations would be tax deductible business expenses, and cheap trips would become a way of life for you and your family.

This may sound too good to be true, but it’s one of the secrets that is well known by the wealthy. Business ownership is one of the best strategies available to those of us who want to keep as much of our hard earned money as possible. And home businesses have made it possible for anyone to take advantage of the tax laws that favor business owners.

As a referring travel agent you will be entitled to tax deductions on not only your vacations, but on many other everyday costs that you would normally be unable to write off. These may include your Internet service, your home and cell phones, your cable TV, your computer, and a portion of your utilities. Since I am not a tax professional, the only advice I may legally offer you on this subject is to get more information on this subject from someone who is.

So, now that you’ve learned about the chance to book cheap trips and to write them and other normal expenses off on your taxes, is this idea beginning to sound enticing? If you would like to learn more about this simple, affordable way to travel as an insider, and reap the benefits of great travel perks and tax savings, I suggest you get on the Internet and research the topic thoroughly.

Don’t know what to look for? Be sure to look for a company that has been in business for longer than 5 years, and that has a proven track record of being an industry leader. If the company operates through a direct marketing system, you’ll want to be sure that it’s a member of the DSA (Direct Selling Association). Publicly traded companies are more stable than privately held companies, and have met strict governmental regulations. Of course, price and monthly maintenance fees should also be a consideration.

They say knowledge is power, and with these tips, you now have the power to turn even the most luxurious vacations into cheap trips. Bon voyage!

Are you planning to go on a family vacation trip, a company outing or maybe a golf spree with your best buddies? In this case, cheap coaches are your best option! Coaches for hire are definitely the most economical and comfortable way for you to travel; think of it as a five-star hotel on wheels! These coaches offer all the luxuries and amenities as that of a high-class hotel. On board, you will have a host, a snack and cocktail bar, a tea spot; not to mention the lush air conditioning, the perfect ambiance and almost anything you could ever wish for. All of these for a unique traveling experience! Now, if you are thinking on how you can afford such a grand thing, well, think again. There are a lot of companies that are offering quality coaches which, by the way, are also dead cheap! If you have already made up your mind and would want to go for a coach hire, then you must conduct a little research first regarding the facilities and specifications that are currently available. You will also need to get an update on prices and other services being offered by most of these coach hire companies. One good option for you to do is to get in touch with different coach hire firms and ask about the rates. For sure, there will be one or two from these companies that will offer you a reasonable price. Also, it is best that you do your transactions directly with the company. You can save lots of money by steering away from travel agents who normally tag commissions on their offered price. There are actually a variety of coaches available. These coaches would most likely differ when it comes to the services offered: interior design, luxury, the style of hospitality and other coach standards. Usually, companies will try to impress you by offering a startling first impression. Then again, the most important factor that you must delve into is the facilities, standards and other amenities on board. You must also check the reputation and the stand of the company so that you will have a guarantee that they will deliver the services that they offered. Do a little research; look for pictures, comments or feedbacks on the Web about the firm. An actual visit to them for you to check out the coach itself is also a plus factor. Hospitality services on board must also meet your needs. Check the facilities and make sure they are functioning properly. Things like the toilet flush, air conditioning, the coffee and tea maker and other amenities must be in excellent condition. The drinks must always be cold; the leather interior, TV, emergency window and other specs should be thought out in advance. For those of you who would still need to bring along some office work, having a Wi-fi service on board is an advantage.Booking your coach is simple; you can even do it online. There are many cheap coach hires out there and for sure, you will find one that is within your price range. Just make sure that you book your coach hire in advance to avoid any possible problem.

Trip to Europe often connotes high airfare. But with a little effort and dedication, you can go in any cities of this continent at a cheap price.

To know how, here are the following tips:

1. Search the Internet. It is the best place to search for cheap air travel to Europe. Try it yourself: do a research on all major and minor airlines traveling from the United States to Europe. Check all their prices. Now search on the Internet. You will be surprised how much difference the plane tickets are.

2. Take connected flights and do not fly direct. Again, this would take a good time of researching and finding the cities that can connect your flight from the United States to any city in Europe.

3. No first class and business seats please. Your aim is to go to Europe in as little amount as possible. These seats could cost twice as much as coach seats. Do not be ashamed if you seat on the tail of the airplane, after all, you will arrive at the same time and the same place.

4. Target off-season. During this time, airfare is low. Europe’s airfare is cheapest during winter. But make sure you are prepared for heavy snowfall.

5. Plan to travel longer. One way to get to Europe without spending money is by taking the cheapest flight from the United States and travel by train or bus to your desired city. This might take a while especially if you are planning to go to Moscow and happen to land on the Western cities of Europe. The rewarding part is, you can see other countries and enjoy the sceneries while traveling

6. Identify the slow days. Usually, most people travel less during Tuesdays and Wednesdays. You can capitalize on this and take your flight to Europe at lesser cost. After all there is no difference when you arrive in Europe during Sunday or Tuesday.

7. And in accordance with number 6, schedule your return also during slow days.

8. Book in advance. Aside from getting your desired seat, you can get low air rates 2-3 weeks before the flight.

9. Get round-trip tickets. It is much cheaper to get return flights than one-way tickets.

10. Do not mind asking for lowest rates. Usually, you can get the lowest air travel rates to Europe if you would only ask. It is just there waiting to be asked.

11. Watch out for lowest fare. Stay at the airport and wait ’til they tell you the flight is in its lowest rate. This might not be appealing but who cares? At least you arrive in Europe the same way they did.

12. Volunteer to get bumped. Inform the airline that it’s okay for you to transfer to the next flight. Your time loitering around the airport could mean cash discount coupon you can use on your future flight.

If you are brave enough, try the following:

1. Try wandering around the airport and look for people who decided not to go. Buy their tickets at lowest price. But here’s the catch: the ticket should match the name of the passport. Do it if you have a match.

2. Ask if there is any physically challenged person on the flight and ask if they want company. They would be willing shoulder part of your airfare.

These mentioned tips could surely make your way to Europe. And though some may be a little bit off your ways, you have more choices and one would be enough.

Make sure you research a couple of websites to get the deal you want. If your travel schedule is flexible, try looking for different departure time or different days. Most of the times the late night flights or the early morning flights will have cheaper fares.
Check if a stopover can reduce the ticket price as sometimes the direct flight is more expensive and also tiring. Only do so if there is a significant saving.
Make sure you book other things with your flight tickets like car rental service and hotel accommodation. There are many websites which offer great deals on travel packages, thereby meriting more savings.
If you travel even twice a year make sure you join the frequent flyer program of your favorite airline. Some airlines offer great discounts on flight tickets and other extra facility like up gradation to business class or express check-in. Also check with your credit card company since often times they partner with airlines and offer discounts.
The more frequently you travel the more miles you will collect and thus over time you can get discounts on tickets or sometimes even free. Some airlines also extend these miles on leisure travel also.
Hope that you make your next ticket purchase considering these tips and save a couple of hundred dollars.

Bali is a small, beautiful island famed for its unique arts and cultures, enchanting nature and the friendliness of its people. Most people come to Bali to experience the marvelously rich cultural heritage; some come for the beaches and the waves, others for pure relaxation. Bali is situated in Indonesia, one of the best tourist destinations in Asia.

For those who plan to visit Bali, I herewith write Ten Essential Tips for Bali Vacation for your consideration.

1. To enter Bali, or Indonesia for that matter, make sure your passport is valid for six months upon entry into Indonesia, otherwise you’ll find yourself on the next plan out. You also must have proof of onward passage (i.e. a ticket out of Indonesia). Tourist, social and business visas can be obtained from any Indonesian embassy or consulate abroad. Citizens from Asian countries comprising Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Brunei, Vietnam, Cambodia, Philippine and Laos do not require a visa, only a valid travel document. Visitors from some thirty countries are also provided with a 60-days tourist visa issued directly upon arrival. Consult your travel agent or airlines, mention your nationality.

2. Money matters: The rupiah is the basic unit of money. Foreign currency, in bank notes and traveler’s checks is best exchanged at major banks or authorized money changers. Do change money at a reputable looking location, use your own (or the hotel’s calculator before changing), as the ones used by some places can be “a little inaccurate”. Most important; always count your money before you leave the place. Traveler’s checks are accepted at all major hotels and large shops; some smaller shops will also accept them. Passport number is required. Do not forget to take passport (or a photocopy of your ID), with you at all time.

3. When changing large amounts of money please check each note carefully as there are a number of (noticeably) fake bills in circulation.

4. There have been a few cases of handbags being snatched after one has cashed money at banks or money changers. Put your money away in your “bum-bag” or hold onto your handbag tightly.

5. Credit cards and charge cards: To day many hotels, shops large and small accept plastic, with the proviso that an additional 3% is added onto your bill. However, when traveling to the village, take rupiah with you. Keep small change handy when riding in public transports or buying drinks at warung.

6. Make sure you either have personal insurance or travel insurance that will cover in any accidents. If you rent a car (must be with insurance), beware of motorbikes, as there are too many on the road. When you park the car, always remember to remove all your properties. Crime is on the increase and can spoil your holiday. Be careful with your belongings at all times. Cases of handbag snatching have been reported, so leave important documents in your hotel safe (carry photocopies). Do not forget to look and listen while you cross the road. Cars may stops, motorbikes may not!

7. Going to Bali, dress casually. Take light clothes, as the weather is warm-to – hot throughout the year. Remember Bali is a land where prayer and religious festivals take center stage. When visiting a temple or attending ceremonies, make it a point to respect local customs and traditions. Always wear a sarong and sash. Do not walk in front of people praying. Do not use a flash camera or point your camera to the priest’s face. Do try not to step on offerings in the street (walk around them). Women are not allowed to enter temples during menstruation.

8. Do not drug! It can carry the death penalty, and there are enough foreigners residing in Bali courtesy of the Government prison service.

9. Do not swim outside designated swimming areas on the beach, current/undertows can be very strong. Swim between the red and yellow flags. Don’t swim too far out. Do not leave your belongings unattended on the beach.

10. Health: International health certificates of vaccination against smallpox, cholera, and yellow fever are required only from travelers comprising from infected areas. Typhoid and paratyphoid vaccinations are optional but still advisable. Drink only distilled or mineral water, or water that has been boiled and eat a lot of fresh fruit – do your body a favor. Don’t worry too much about ice, it’s a government quality controlled in established bars and restaurants. Most people traveling through Bali get the infamous “Bali Belly” at some time or other. Taking and Imodium will stop you up. At the first time of discomfort (diarrhea and cramping), drink strong, hot tea and avoid all fruits and spicy foods. Taking charcoal tablets will help alleviate the cramping.

Bali is worth a visit, plan your vacation, go on line and book your preferred Bali hotels or contact your travel agent. Thanks you readers.
