Divorce Recovery & Personal Principles-maintain Clear Direction During The Chaos Of Divorce Recovery

Author: Jerald Young
Source: articledashboard.com

Divorce recovery often leaves us feeling lost, off-balance, disoriented, and vulnerable. Sometimes we feel as if we are careening off course and out of control. Our personal principles can give us confidence by making sure we stay on course in our journey to a successful and satisfying life after divorce.

1. Divorce Recovery is Like Driving Down the Interstate in a Fog

An image that made sense to me when I was neck-deep in the divorce recovery process was driving down the interstate in a dense fog. A very real question for me was, “How can I make sure I stay in the road and not drive into the ditch?” Fortunately, superhighways have a way of reminding us when we are straying off course – those rat-a-tat-tat bumps on the side of the road that warn us we are getting too close to the shoulder. Our personal principles perform the same function – warning us when we are veering off course.

2. An Example of How Your Personal Principles Can Help Your Recovery from Divorce

A client of mine was having trouble negotiating the choppy waters of life after divorce. Some of his issues were: “How should I deal with my ex?” “What do I do about dating?” “How should I manage the proceeds of the sale of my Soho loft?” These, and other related issues, were driving him crazy. He had trouble focusing on one without another wedging its way into his head. Metaphorically, he was trying to go forward in a fog. When asked what his primary personal principles were in dealing with this time in his life, he responded, “The welfare of my two children.” With that, the fog lifted. He realized that using his primary principle of “what’s best for my kids” as a compass gave him clarity for traveling the blurry road of divorce recovery.

3. The Promise – You Can Make a Successful Recovery from Divorce Because You Have Stability of Direction

The good news is, we all carry a compass we can use when lost and vulnerable. It will guide us through the maze of divorce recovery with a true feeling of stability and control. That compass is our set of personal principles. Our principles give us a way to determine if our decisions and actions are right or wrong for us in this specific divorce recovery situation. All we have to do is ask, “Is this consistent with or is it against my principles?” The answer will set you free to travel the murky waters of life after divorce.

Understanding Slang For Australian Travel

Author: Stacey Prieur
Source: ezinearticles.com

When travelling to Australia, you will likely hear some slang for Australian words that you will not know until somebody tells you. Some of them are quite strange compared to what you are used to, so it is important that you brush up on some of your slang for Australian words before you get there, so you are not surprised if someone uses some in conversation.

If you ask for direction and somebody tells you that something is located “twenty clicks away”, they mean that it is twenty kilometres away.

If you hear somebody say anything about a “gutful of piss”, it likely means that they are talking about someone who is drunk.

Hooroo is a common way of saying goodbye in Australia. If someone says “Holy Dooley!” it is the same as someone in America saying “My goodness!” or a similar exclamation of surprise.

If someone asks you for a “hottie” they likely do not want you to find them a date. In Australia, this word is short for a hot water bottle.

In terms of flatulence, Australians have a funny way of asking who did it. If you hear someone say “Who opened their lunch?” and it isn’t lunch time, then it is likely to say that they smell something bad and want to know who it was.

A “mozzie” is a mosquito! And a “middie” is a 285ml. Glass of beer. If you hear the term “mystery bag”, it could be someone referring to a sausage.

These are just a few of the slang for Australians that you will be likely to hear on your trip depending on where you go. Knowing the slang before you get there is crucial if you do not want to be left out in conversations, or become confused because you don’t know what anyone is talking about.

Kitesurfing Boards – A Brief Introduction

Author: Guillermo Serrano
Source: ezinearticles.com

Kitesurfing Boards are obviously a very important element of kitesurfing. There is far too much focus on the kites when, in many situations, the type of board used will make the big difference instead of the kite type or size. Kite boards are made of different materials depending on the type and purpose they are used for.

There are different types of kitesurfing boards. Taking into consideration that kitesurfing is one of the fastest growing sports it is expected to see new types of kitesurfing boards with new materials, shapes, etc. to be brought to the sport in the coming years.

Directional kitesurfing boards. Originally kitesurfers used this type of boards, they were basically surfing boards and later on modified surfing boards. Nowadays there are several different types of directional boards designed to be used for kitesurfing in waves or in light wind conditions. The main characteristic of a directional kite board is that it has a different shape in the nose and in the tail and therefore the nose always has to point in the direction the kitesurfer is travelling. The kitesurfer needs to either ride toeside or jibe when changing direction. These boards can be found with foot straps or without straps. They are the favorites for waves kitesurfing.

Twin tip boards. These boards have their origin in another sport, wakeboarding. They have the same shape in the nose and in the tail and as a result can be ridden in both directions. They have foot straps mounted to permit a wide variety of jumps and tricks. Twin tip boards are the easiest to learn on and are by far the most popular. There are a few different types within the twin tip boards depending on the discipline, freestyle, freeride, beginners, low wind, etc.

Hybrid kitesurfing boards. It is a special type of board that combines characteristics of directional and twin tip boards. They are commonly used to ride in choppy waters or small not very powerfull waves. They have a different shape in tail and nose but still are able to ride in both directions.

Skim boards. Most of the available skim boards have been designed for skimboarding with no fins and no straps. There are a few skimboards designed for kitesurfing that include the possibility to install fins. Mark Shinn introduced the first kitesurfing oriented skimboard. These boards can be used in low wind conditions, in flat water as well as in small waves.

Race kitesurfing boards. Directional kitesurfing boards are designed specially for reaching high speeds. They are almost only used for racing competitions although they are starting to be used in other situations because their excellent light wind conditions performance.

The different type of kitesurfing boards can be found in a wide range of sizes to satisfy different needs or conditions.

Kitesurfing Boards is an informational website focused on kitesurfing and related disciplines with useful, original and unique content. It is a collaborative site made by kitesurfers for kitesurfers.

Hong Kong Travel – How to Get to Macau From Hong Kong

Author: Roni Shwartz
Source: ezinearticles.com

Macau is just across the bay from Hong Kong and many visitors to Asia’s International city spend at least one or two days of their holiday in this fascinating city, where old Chinese temples are neighboring European baroque churches and glitzy casinos, and where Portuguese lifestyle coexists alongside Chinese traditions. This article will show you the best ways of getting from Hong Kong to Macau and back.

As you may already know, ferry is what more than 95% of the passengers on this line are using. There is also a helicopter service, but it’s very expensive and honestly speaking, won’t save you that much time. So why not leave the chopper for the time-conscious businessmen?

Ferries leave from two major terminals in Hong Kong (Other than the airport’s Sky Pier, which is irrelevant to this article): Namely Hong Kong Macau Ferry Terminal in Sheung Wan, on Hong Kong Island, and HK China Ferry Terminal, in Tsim sha Tsui, on the Kowloon side.

They operate 24/7 and arrive at the Main ferry terminal in Macau, which is a fairly convenient spot to start your Macau journey from (Unless you only want to come for a night of gambling, which in this case you can take the CotaiJet, directly to Macau’s flashy casino strip).

1) The bright red Turbojet is a quick ferry that covers the way to Macau in slightly less than an hour. It departs every fifteen minutes during the day, and every thirty minutes at night, and leaves from Hong Kong Macau Ferry Terminal at Sheung wan/Central, on the island.

The terminal building can easily be accessed by foot from Central MTR Station, as well as from the Star Ferry Pier or from the Airport Express Station. Single trip costs approximately HK$ 140 at the time of writing, and slightly more than this over the weekends.

2) If you wish to travel from Kowloon’s side, First Ferry Macau departs from Tsim Sha Tsui every thirty minutes, from 7 am till midnight. Travel time is also around one hour and the price range is similar to that of Turbojet

3) Those of you who are only interested in a night of gambling, good food and entertainment at Cotai Strip and the Venetian, can take advantage of the new CotaiJet service which takes passengers to Taipa Island’s Temporary Ferry Terminal in Macau (from where a free coach will take you to Cotai Strip itself).

CotaiJet leaves from Tsim sha Tsui’s HK China Ferry Terminal, every thirty minutes (every one hour at night), between 7 am and 1am. Traveling time is, again, one hour, and the basic ticket costs HK$ 134 one way at the time of writing.

From Macau, CotaiJet ferries depart every thirty minutes (every one hour at night, and every two hours late at night.), between 7:30 am to 5am, which means you can party the night away in the Venetian and make it back to Hong Kong, just in time for breakfast.

And before I conclude this article, here are a few important points you should note:

Travel Prague – Wenceslas Square and the Legend of the Good King Wenceslas

Author: Roman T Jelinek
Source: ezinearticles.com

At the top of Saint Wenceslas Square in Prague there sits a man on a horse. Clad in battle amour and fearless. He is perched at the high end of the square and his gaze covers the city and it people. Wenceslas duty is to protect his people when the Czech lands are at their greatest pearl.

Now he just sits and watches. Tourist snap pictures and take rests on the mount on which he stands. They sit on the benches directly behind and and share his view of Prague.

Most people see him only as a statue of a once great man. A king that rules over Prague but now long dead. But his is not gone. He waits inside the statue. Waiting for the day that the Czech lands are smothered by gray clouds, when battle smoke blows through the city, when evil is all around. When the Czech lands seems to be lost to the enemy, the good king will return.

The hard stone of the statue will melt away and the living embodiment of King Wenceslas will emerge. His hundreds of years of stillness will erupt into a flurry of activity. Jumping off his high mount he will call out over the Czech lands a battle cry, “Sleeping Army of Blaník, rise from your slumber”. His army from centuries ago will hear his voice and rise from their hiding place in the mountain of Blanik. Dust at their heels they will march towards their King’s side.

With great strides and speed his horse will take him to the Charles Bridge in which lies hidden the Magic Sword. Wenceslas will reach down and pull the sword out of the ancient bridge. The sword has been waiting for the return of it’s master. Sword in hand and army at his back Wenceslas will fight the enemy.

A great battle will ensue that will last for many days. But the outcome is always certain. The King will save his people. The enemy will be defeated. The enemies blood will fill the streams and rivers of the Czech lands. The Good King Wenceslas will prevail and his people will live prosperous and peaceful lives. Then once again he will return to stand guard over his people on top of Wenceslas Square.

North And South India Tours – An Ultimate Tour Experiance

Author: Yogesh – Travel Lover
Source: articledashboard.com

According to the current estimates tourism represents 6.5 percent of the global workforce, employing 112 million people throughout the world. It plays a major role in the global economy and represents a significant global gross national product (GNP). Tourism is a highly fragmented industry with many different participants including tour operators, the transport and hotel industry, and of course, the tourists themselves. At the start of the 90′s decade, several trends were observed at the global level. According to the report of the World Tourism Organisation,1990, Asia/Oceania was expected to receive more international tourists than any other region in the world. At the same time tourists were diversifying into highly specialised groups from among a broad range of activities. Increased interest in travel to natural and less disturbed areas due to a rapidly growing interest in environmental matters and nature was perceived as one of the trends. This was expected to result in an increased interest in Asia and tropical America, areas which still contained large tracts of wilderness (WWF-UK, 1992).

Although in India tourism has been a part of the country’s ethos for a long time, it had predominantly been restricted to religious, archeological and recreational sites. Nature tourism, predominantly in the form of shooting and hunting trips, has gradually given way to photographic and nature oriented tours. Today, in the parks, sanctuaries and unprotected wilderness of India, nature based tourism has increased in scope, and is understood to, include nature trails, trekking , mountaineering, rock climbing , safaris, adventure sports and bird watching , in addition to photography expeditions. Most of these activities take place in forest and mountain terrain rich in wildlife and local ambience.

Such nature based tourism has either been species oriented or ecosystem oriented. Species oriented tourism in India has been confined to a few flagship species such as the tiger, which draws tourists to parks that are its natural habitat; or the Siberian crane, which is a major draw for tourists to the well-known Keoladeo National Park. In fact, most of India’s popular parks and sanctuaries are the natural habitat for one or another flagship species. The problem here is that if the flagship species is not sighted often enough, tourist flow may stem. Its dependence on a single species thus makes species oriented tourism rather precarious.

About one sixth of all the human beings on Earth live in India, the world’s most populous democracy. Its borders encompass a vast variety of peoples, practicing most of the world’s major religions, speaking scores of different languages, and divided into thousands of socially exclusive castes. A civilized, urban society has existed in India for well over 4,000 years, and there have been periods when its culture was as brilliant and creative as any in history. The country is also known by its ancient Hindi name, Bharat.

India’s leaders have played a prominent role in world affairs since the country became independent in 1947. Nevertheless, the standard of living of most of its citizens is low. The huge population strains the nation’s limited resources. Fertile, cultivable land is scarce, yet about two thirds of the people depend directly on agriculture for their livelihood. Many millions of Indians are inadequately nourished, poorly housed, and lacking in basic educational, medical, and sanitary services.

Although the modern nation of India encompasses the greater part of South Asia, it is smaller than the Indian Empire formerly ruled by Britain. Burma (now Myanmar), a mainly Buddhist country lying to the east, was administratively detached from India in 1937. Ten years later, when Britain granted independence to the peoples of the Indian subcontinent, two regions with Muslim majorities a large one in the northwest (West Pakistan) and a smaller one in the northeast (East Pakistan) were partitioned from the predominantly Hindu areas and became the separate nation of Pakistan. East Pakistan broke away from Pakistan in 1971 to form the independent nation of Bangladesh. Also bordering India on its long northern frontier are the People’s Republic of China and the relatively small kingdoms of Nepal and Bhutan. The island republic of Sri Lanka lies just off India’s southern tip. India’s capital is New Delhi.

A complaint so accepted it is the accountable of jokes and TV comedies is the abhorrence of absent men to ask for directions. Almost every woman has a adventure about a man who collection about for hours analytic for some abode and banned her entreaties to stop and ask anyone for directions. To women, this seems like the ultimate affectation of macho airs and stubbornness. But what if it isn’t?
It is important to accept that men are NEVER “lost.” To him, that implies a helplessness that he will never agreeably experience. He artlessly hasn’t gotten there yet and he has complete acceptance in his adeptness to do so.
Also, a man’s abhorrence to stop and ask for admonition is constant with his adaptation instincts and in fact not adamant at all. First, the act of endlessly the car, and rolling down the window, makes him (and you) added accessible than he is accommodating to be just to get some abode faster.

If your car doesn’t accept one of these adorned new gizmos, your best bet is to banal up on maps at the Auto Club, or buy a Thomas Guide. Keep your accumulation of maps in your car (or biking bag) and apprentice how to apprehend them. It is important to advance a avenue advancing from getting a affiliate of the biking team, instead of accurately proving he is incompetent.
A woman who understands – and even brand – account maps becomes a awful admired biking partner. To adduce men, a woman who appropriately reads maps “becomes advantageous in the hunt,” and is “awesome” and “nearly perfect.” Instead of activity balked and abandoned while he is aggravating to acquisition some place, if you’re consulting a map, you’ll acquisition a man added than accommodating to chase your directions.
A ancillary note: there is addition alien mural in which a man will not ask for admonition but will abiding acknowledge them – your body. Know The ‘Write’ Direction Before Starting Your Newsletter

Author: Mark K
Source: articlerich.com

Are you ready to start your own free online newsletter? There are thousands of online newsletters or ezines posted to subscribers on the Internet with new ones being started every day.

The idea of starting a free online newsletter is to use it as a “selling platform” to make your subscribers aware of the product you are selling on your website.

By making it free, you are encouraging people to subscribe. The reason that they are subscribing to your e-newsletter is because you may have offered useful tips and information that they can use.

To get things going in the right direction, you will have to specialize on a particular subject, be focused and be simple with your writing.

Your best bet will be with new information on a subject yet to be covered by an established newsletter. Don’t be like the average Joe and Jane, if you want to make your mark.

Your writing direction should aim at a niche market. The general direction is like a big ocean with everything spread thin and little pickings in sight. So be unique in your own style and focus on the niche that you know best such as photography, travel, pets, fitness and so on.

There are people from all walks of life, many of them with little writing skills whatsover, who are very successful with simple online newsletters…writing on what they know best.

To get going, you should study and analyse the work of others, find out how they are doing it. There are many websites where you can pick up information and get tips and tricks of the trade.

Do research to determine who will be interested in subscribing and reading your online newsletter. It’s not good enough just promoting your product. You have to give that added value to your newsletter.

There are books that will show you the way to producing a good newsletter. Subscribe to a number of free online newsletters and learn from those publishers. Again, study their writing style, presentation and the tips and information that they provide.

Adapt their success methods to your own newsletter, but you must also determine the area where they are weak, so you can make yours better in every way.

The name of your newsletter should also help to set it apart from similar online newsletters, Pick a name that defines the direction and scope of your newsletter.

Try to make your newsletter’s name memorable – one that flows automatically. Don’t pick a name that’s so vague it could apply to almost anything. The name should identify your newsletter and its subject quickly and positively.

Know the basic premise for its being, your editorial position and every other detail necessary to make it look, sound and feel like the end result you have envisioned. With that in the bag, you should be ready to launch it.
