Getting a rear view mirror camera with audio for your car can allow you to travel safely. You have to remember that you can meet accidents on the road, and anything can come at you from all directions. You might find yourself encountering people from the side, and frighteningly, from behind. You may have the ability to focus on the front of your vehicle, and, with some limitations, you can also see and act on anything that comes from the side. But how well can you monitor what is happening behind you so that you can act in time to save yourself, the vehicle, and the rest of the people in your car? What if you were driving a truck that had limited vision?

One good thing about some rear view mirror cameras is that they have audio capability. You can listen to what is going on in the road behind you, and you can anticipate coming cars that might come from behind carelessly, or even trucks that have a limited range of vision and will not be able to see you. There is another thing that you should look for when you get a rear view mirror camera with audio: you might need one that can rotate so that you can see the inside of your car. This can be useful if you have a big car with children in the backseat, and if there is anything precious or expensive the backseat that you need to watch.

If you are going to buy a rear view mirror camera, look for one that has reliable and clear audio. Often, poor audio will have a lot of static that can ruin the noise that you would like to hear; and poor audio could even create sounds that would alert you into hearing something that is not even there. You might also have the option of getting a rear view mirror camera that has recording capabilities. This will allow you to monitor what is happening in your backseat, and you can trace breakage or sources of fights, depending on whether you have baggage or children.

These are only a few things that a rear view mirror cam plus audio can give you while you are on the road. For more information on what a rear view mirror camera plus audio can do, as well as the best bargains on such combos, ask for more information from your camera retailer. Come up with a big selection of brands so that you can select the brand that fits your budget and needs best. You should be able to travel safely, and if a rear view mirror cam plus audio can help you, then you will need to invest in one today.

Kenya is one of the most vibrant country in East Africa both economically and politically. It is largely developed too in terms of infrastructure and its capital city Nairobi is the headquarters to major world bodies and organizations like the United Nations UNEP (United Nations Environmental Programme).

Throughout the year, Kenya receives a large number of tourists who are drawn into the country by her famous wildlife, diverse culture and a fertile investment ground. The number of visitors has in the recent past increased greatly, most of them coming into the country by air.

Air travel in Kenya is very well developed and the country has the biggest air port in East and Central Africa. The Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) is 16 kilometres from the capital Nairobi. It is a very busy terminus with thousands of people passing through it every day either by direct flights or connecting fights. To get to and from this airport, there are shuttle buses operating from the capital city direct to the airport. Taxis are another option for travellers from the city to the airport and back. The information desk makes taxi bookings at all times and the prices are pocket friendly.

The other major airport in Kenya is the Moi International Airport in Mombasa. It also receives a great number of people everyday, most of them tourists to this coastal town. Most of the flights in this airport are usually chartered flights. This airport is located 10 kilometres from the town centre with taxis being the major mode of transport to and from the airport.

The Eldoret International Airport is the third largest in the country. It is located in Eldoret town which is on the agricultural rich Western side of Kenya. Others are the Wilson Airport in Nairobi and the Kisumu Airport in Kisumu town located on the shores of Lake Victoria. Most planes flying from the capital city to other parts of the country usually take off at Wilson airport, leaving the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to handle international traffic

Besides the major airports in Kenya, there are numerous airstrips distributed around the country. The major ones include the Malindi Airport, the Lokichoggio Airport, the Manda and Ukunda airports. Other areas in Kenya are well covered by airstrips and this allows the convenience of access to these places some of which are home to national parks and game reserves. These include Amboseli served by the Amboseli airstrip, Voi served by Voi airstrip and the Maasai Mara served by both Keekorok and Mara Serena airstrips.

Kenya Airways is the national carrier and it flies to almost all destinations in the world. There are direct flights to all the major destinations that include Britain and France although it is yet to provide direct flights to America. Other major operators in Kenya include British Airways, Virgin Atlantic Airlines, Emirates Airlines, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Gulf Air, Air Tanzania, South African Airways and Ethiopian Airlines.

The Kenyan Government is very keen on security especially in the major airports. At the same time, due to the ever increasing number of travellers passing through the JKIA, there is a plan that the government has laid down to largely expand this airport. Already, the first phase of this project is underway.

Air travel in Kenya has witnessed a lot of growth in the recent past and more airlines have added to the huge number of those already operating.br

An accident with a tractor trailer can be a devastating collision and have dire consequences for you and your passengers. A full big rig can outweigh the average vehicle by many tons, leaving your car no chance to resist the force from a crashing truck. While accidents will happen, there are steps you can take to ensure the safety of you and your family while traveling our roads interstates. Defensive driving techniques will help you avoid potentially deadly collisions with tractor trailers and allow both you and the truck driver to arrive at your destination safely.

It is important to maintain a safe distance from other vehicles. This is even more important when traveling near semi trucks. Tractor trailers simply cannot maneuver through traffic like other vehicles. Their operational limits will prevent them from making quick turns and making a sudden stop. In fact, a freight carrier traveling at a top speed of 65 MPH takes approximately double the amount of distance to come to a complete stop than it does an average car. Diving a safe distance behind a big rig will allow you the distance needed to safely stop your vehicle or maneuver out of the way of an accident.

It is equally important to allow the truck adequate room behind you after passing. Do not pass a semi and merge back into the right lane without giving the semi enough room to stop if need be. If you are traveling in front of a tractor trailer, be sure to leave enough so that if you need to make a sudden stop, the big rig will be able to stop without hitting you.

While traveling immediately in front or directly behind a tractor trailer is dangerous, one of the most dangerous places to be is driving alongside. Do not travel directly alongside a semi because their side mirrors simply cannot see you, meaning the truck driver doesn’t know you’re there. This is called a blind spot, and truckers have a significant gap in what they can see from their mirrors. Only travel along side a big rig when you are passing or being passed, and make sure you pass quickly without spending too much time in the trucker’s blind spot. If the tractor trailer needs to make a sudden lane change, they may do so without knowing you’re there so be sure you make a complete pass from a safe distance behind to a adequate distance ahead. This will ensure the truck driver sees when you begin and complete your pass.

Another important thing to remember about the blind spot is the danger you can be in when you’re next to a truck as they make a turn. If you’re on the right side of a tractor trailer as they make a right turn, you could get caught in a squeeze. A big rig needs adequate space to make wide turns. If a truck driver doesn’t know you’re there, you could become sandwiched between the truck and the curb. Make sure you don’t pull up along the right side a tractor trailer at an intersection, especially if their turn signal is activated and they’re in a middle lane. Allow them the space they need to complete a wide turn.

Share the roadway responsibly with tractor trailers and you’ll be making sure you, your passengers and the truck driver have safe travels.

It’s a common sight: soda cans, gum wrappers, and snack bags
strewn all over the floor; books, magazines, and carrying cases
haphazardly placed on a seat; and miscellaneous papers and
trinkets shoved into any nook and cranny available. What is this
disorganized place? A college frat house, a mad scientist’s
office? No. It’s the typical disorganized car–and it could
easily belong to you or someone you know. Whether you’re
traveling for business or pleasure, the automobile is still the
most common means of getting to your destination. In fact, for
many people, their car has become their “home away from home,”
with extended car trips a part of daily life.
To avoid traveling in a perpetual mess, do a little pre-planning.
Before your next road trip, take time to totally clear out your
vehicle. Don’t forget about the glove box and side door
compartments. By the time you’re done, you want your car totally
empty–just like how you received it from the dealer. Now that
you’re car is empty, it’s time to stock it and organize it for
stress-free travel. Here are five easy tips to get you started
and to keep your car organized when traveling:
1. Stock the glove box and side pockets with necessities.
Contrary to popular use, your glove box is not a “catch-all
compartment” or a trash can. It’s a place to store traveling
essentials. For day-to-day use, simply keeping important car
documents (like your insurance and registration cards), a pen or
pencil, a pocket-sized notepad, and a small first-aid kit is
sufficient. For travel purposes, you’ll want to beef that list up
a bit. Include maps, directions, extra sunglasses, a camera and
film, reading material for passengers, and a few small trash
bags. Remember, the purpose of your glove box and side door
compartments is to keep essentials at hand during a trip, so you
don’t have to keep pulling over to open the trunk.
2. If you’re traveling with children, let each child pack a
small backpack or travel bag. In it they should put things they
can do on the road–a walkman and tapes, comic books, handheld
video games, etc. Keep the bag near the child, either on the
floor of the back seat or on the seat itself, so they can easily
retrieve their items and put them away when done. A small bag of
items takes up less room and produces less clutter than five or
six individual items strewn in the back.
